It is suggested to add 2 - 5 drops of fennel essential oil to a tablespoon of carrier oil, like coconut or olive oil. This mixture can be rubbed into painful area multiple times throughout the day to relieve pain and reduce swelling.
Turmeric

Turmeric

For pain management, it is recommended to take turmeric capsules of 400 mg to 600 mg, three times per day; or 0.5 g to 1 g of powdered root up to 3 times per day.

Submerge the joint in ice water or apply an ice pack onto painful joint for 14 minutes minimum, 20 minutes maximum. It's recommended to do this 3 times per day.
